IMD issues 'orange alert' in north Kerala as rains bring relief from heat

Heavy rains lashed Kerala on Friday bringing relief from hot weather. The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for Kozhikode and Wayanad districts. Thunderstorms with moderate rainfall and gusty winds are likely. Other districts will also experience light to moderate rainfall. This alert signifies very heavy rainfall expected in the affected areas.
