Dynasty star John Forsythe bought a 30-acre California ranch as a family retreat; it became part of Hollywood's celebrity ranch country
John Forsythe, best known for playing oil tycoon Blake Carrington on the long-running television series Dynasty, and his wife, Julie, bought a 30-acre ranch in California’s Santa Ynez Valley in 1993 for about $1.6 million. Located roughly 30 miles north of Santa Barbara, the property offered a quieter setting away from their Los Angeles-area home.
