Centre’s indirect tax collection surpasses FY26 target: Official

The Centre has surpassed its revised indirect tax target for FY26, with customs duties, union excise duties, and GST collections exceeding the estimated amount. The government is confident in meeting its targets, as customs duty and union excise duty collections reached 102% and 101% respectively, while CGST reached 100.8%.
