CBI chief Praveen Sood gets one-year extension
Praveen Sood's tenure as CBI chief has been extended by one year. This marks his second extension in office. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the extension beyond May 24, 2026. Sood initially took charge in May 2023 for a two-year term. The decision followed a selection committee meeting.
