BSNL ordered to pay over Rs 55 lakh compensation to co-operative bank after duplicate SIM used to access O
Karnataka high court has ordered BSNL to pay more than Rs 55 lakh in compensation and damages to a co-operative bank that lost over Rs 87 lakh in a SIM swap fraud. The court held that the unauthorised issuance of a duplicate SIM card enabled fraudsters to receive OTPs and carry out fraudulent transactions, making BSNL liable for the resulting losses.
