Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons shoppers set to be paid for empty bottles and cans
The Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) is planned for introduction in the UK from October 2027, and will see shoppers receive a 20p deposit refund per bottle or can when they bring their empty containers back to dedicated collection points to be recycled
